A rare combination
of law, community,
and lived experience.

Michael Cafarelli brings an unusually broad foundation to conflict resolution — one built across law, business, education, nonprofit service, and the performing arts.

He holds a JD from Loyola Law School and a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from Northeastern University, with undergraduate studies in Management & Organizational Behavior at NYU's Stern School of Business. Additional credentials include a certificate in Producing from UCLA's School of Theatre, Film & Television, a Real Estate certificate from Loyola Marymount University, and performance training at the School of Visual Arts, Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre, The Groundlings, and the Upright Citizens Brigade.

As a founder, co-founder, and operator across more than a dozen ventures — and through the production of over 3,000 live shows and 50 television episodes — Michael has navigated the full spectrum of human dynamics that arise when people build things together.

His community roots run equally deep. He has served on political campaigns, managed community at WeWork in SoHo, and spent over a decade as a camp counselor and assistant director at nonprofit youth camps — including more than ten years volunteering with the SeriousFun Children's Network, the organization founded by Paul Newman. He has also practiced law at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips LLP.

Michael brings a unique creative, business, and legal lens to every engagement — and a genuine belief that most conflicts can be resolved when the right person is in the room.

Why Sebu?

Sebu comes from the Latin esse and Italian buono — to be good. It's not just a name. It's the belief that guides every session: that most disputes can be resolved with the right process, the right space, and someone who genuinely wants good outcomes for everyone in the room.
